Naquela época o menor lance foi feito pela Positivo Informática: R$ 98.1 milhões. O valor ainda foi negociado após o leilão e chegou a R$ 87 milhões, quando então o pregão foi cancelado.
Hoje, a Comsat já ofereceu um lance bem próximo deste último valor: R$ 89,55 milhões. Mas o Mobilis é equipado com um processador mais fraco e tem uma arquitetura completamente diferente do Classmate e de outras opções (assim como o XO, da OLPC).
Outra variante positiva foi o tempo de garantia, que baixou de 3 anos para 1 ano.
O valor de R$ 597 a unidade ainda é muito alto, tendo em vista o volume da compra, mas talvez seja o possível neste momento de crise financeira e frente a burocracia que envolve os pagamentos governamentais.
